China's cultural reputation strong in Jiangxi province

Beijing, China: Jiangxi is a province that has a strong cultural identity and is one of China's most advanced areas economically, it was revealed to the world last Friday.

Based around the theme of an open China and a beautiful Jiangxi, the event was co-organised by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Jiangxi province.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ( centre ), with members of the diplomatic corps and international agencies, visits an exhibition on Jiangxi province at the Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke at the event, which was also addressed by Jiangxi provincial Party Committee Secretary Mr Lu Xinshe and the Governor of Jiangxi province Mr Liu Qi.

Minister Wang said that such promotions by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs always surprised visitors. Today, he added, the beauty of Jiangxi would be revealed to the world and would bring more surprises. I asked some ambassadors and found they have not yet been to Jiangxi. I believe the Jiangxi provincial party committee secretary, governor and the people of Jiangxi will open their arms and welcome everyone to the province, he said.

A colleague told me that through visits to the exhibition by envoys and diplomats from more than 130 countries as well as members of international organisations and business representatives, many more people would get to know about Jiangxi.

Earlier this month, China hosted the BRICS Summit in Xiamen, Fujian province, opening the way for a new path of development for BRICS.

Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are found in Jiangxi and the province also produces world-famous porcelain, making it a true represent ative of Chinese culture.

Jinggangshan in Jiangxi province, the heartland of the early revolutionary activities of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is currently attracting hoards of visitors.

Jinggangshan was home to the CPC's first rural revolutionary base established in 1927. Today, it's a pleasant small town surrounded by hills with a population of about 147,000.

China and the former Soviet established the Diplomatic People's Committee in Ruijin, Jiangxi, in 1931, which was the Chinese Communist Party's leadership's first diplomatic institution.

Minister Wang Yi said that today's Jiangxi centred on a green-oriented, national ecological civilisation pilot area, aiming to accelerate the construction of beautiful China's Jiangxi model which was gradually forming.

The Chinese-made C919 large aircraft and a number of important research and development projects and manufacturing all take place in the province.

As a starting point to actively integrate and strengthen the connection between Europe and Asia through road construction, work begins at Ganzhou Central Europe and incorporates seaways and the formation of 12 large transport channels. So far 66 Fortune 5 00 companies have settled in Jiangxi to develop their operations and those of the region.
