Lao Brewery backs Luang Prabang charity run for 12th year, supporting children’s healthcare

More than 3,000 local and international runners joined the Run for Children Luang Prabang Half Marathon 2026, supported by Lao Brewery Company for the 12th consecutive year, to raise funds for free medical treatment for thousands of children in northern Laos.
The company continued its long-standing commitment to the annual charity event as a Platinum Sponsor through its Revive beverage brand, helping sustain a fundraising initiative that improves access to essential healthcare for disadvantaged children.

Marketing Director of Lao Brewery Company Mr Chansamone Phongchantha expresses appreciation for the growing participation in the annual Run for Children Luang Prabang Half Marathon.

The event, held in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang, brought together runners, volunteers, businesses and local communities in a shared effort to support the Lao Friends Hospital for Children.
The hospital provides free medical treatment to more than 30,000 children each year from eight northern provinces, helping families access essential healthcare without facing the financial burden of treatment costs.
Lao Brewery Company’s continued sponsorship reflects its commitment to supporting community well-being through sport and charitable initiatives.
Over the past 12 years, the company has worked alongside event organisers and other partners to help sustain the annual charity run, which has become a platform for mobilising public participation and support for children’s healthcare.
Marketing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Chansamone Phongchantha, expressed appreciation for the growing participation and continued public support for the event.
“I am deeply impressed to see that every year, the Run for Children Luang Prabang Half Marathon brings people from many places together to promote the well-being of Lao children. We are proud to be part of this and to stand alongside the organisers, runners, and volunteers in this mission of compassion and care.”
The company’s sponsorship also included providing Revive beverages and Tigerhead drinking water to help runners stay hydrated during the event.
This year’s half marathon attracted more than 3,000 participants, highlighting the growing role of sporting activities in bringing communities together to support charitable causes.
Runners followed a scenic route through Luang Prabang, passing ancient temples and picturesque landscapes along the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers.
The event offered participants an opportunity to experience the city’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Beyond promoting physical fitness and tourism, the annual charity run demonstrates how partnerships between businesses, event organisers and communities can help address important social needs.

For children and families who rely on the Lao Friends Hospital for Children, the fundraising initiative helps sustain access to medical services that might otherwise be beyond their financial reach.
Through its 12 years of continued support, Lao Brewery Company has remained one of the partners helping sustain an event that combines sport, community participation and charitable giving to improve the lives of Lao children.
