The Golden Dolphins Project officials hand over a groundwater supply to representatives of Xepon, Nong and Phin districts in Savannakhet province. The water provided will supply 34 villages in these districts. General Manager of the Lao-China Railway Co., Ltd., Mr Liu Hong, presents a gift to the Editor-in-Chief of the Vientiane Times, Mrs Phonesavanh Thikeo, during a visit to her office in Vientiane. Mr Liu congratulated Mrs Phonesavanh on her recent appointment and extended best wishes to her and the Vientiane Times staff for the upcoming Lao New Year, which will be celebrated from April 14 to 16, wishing her good health, happiness, and continued success. In return, Mrs Phonesavanh expressed sincere appreciation for the warm gesture and conveyed her best wishes to Mr Liu and the Lao-China Railway team. During their talks, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation, particularly in sharing the success story of the Laos-China Railway – a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative – and its role in enhancing regional connectivity, promoting trade and investment, and contributing to socio-economic development across the region.

Officials from the Luang Namtha provincial Health Department, provincial Department of Labour and Social Welfare, provincial Hospital, Namtha District Health Office and the Lao Red Cross Office meet at Luang Namtha Provincial Hospital on March 27 to report on the results of a health services improvement project. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Luang Namtha provincial Health Department, Dr Thiengsamone Phonepaseuth, and the Country Manager of Humanity & Inclusion in Laos, Mr Reinier Carabain. The project is implemented by Humanity & Inclusion and CARE International in Laos, with financial support from European Union Humanitarian Aid.
