Authorities in Nong district, Savannakhet province, and other officials inspect a newly renovated irrigation system in Tangalay-labeng village. The dam built to contain water is 13 metres long, 13 metres wide and 2.5 metres high, and can hold up to 300,000 cubic metres of water. The government provided 1.9 billion kip of the construction cost, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry contributed 1.16 billion kip, and Savannakhet province provided 800 million kip. --Photo Pathetlao |
