Phu Bia Mining, Young Elephants FC unite in winning partnership

Phu Bia Mining (PBM), a leading mining company in Laos, is delighted to announce its agreement to sponsor the Young Elephants Football Club (YEFC) for the 2024-25 season.
YEFC are the reigning champions of Lao League 1, having also won the title the season before. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both organisations as they join forces to promote sports, community development, and their common goals and shared values.

PBM Transport Officer, Mr Mitsoupab, and PBM IT Network Infrastructure Supervisor, Mr Chansomphou are in action for Phu Bia Mining against Young Elephants FC.

PBM’s commitment to Laos extends beyond its business operations. By partnering with YEFC, the Company aims to contribute to the growth of football, the most popular sport in the country, and foster a sense of togetherness among all Lao football fans. The partnership underscores PBM’s dedication to the nation’s future and the Company’s core values.
Focus: Just as PBM is focused on being an innovative and responsible business delivering sustainable value through operational excellence at its mining operations, YEFC demonstrates unwavering focus on the field, striving for excellence in every match.
Actions: Both organisations believe in taking meaningful actions. PBM’s multiple community initiatives align with YEFC’s commitment to social responsibility through initiatives including supporting cataract surgery in regional communities and helping disadvantaged youth with opportunities through sport.
Innovation: Phu Bia Mining embraces technological advancements to help the business create new opportunities for growth, and YEFC exemplifies innovation through its football strategies and training methods.
Technology: The partnership recognises the role of technology in driving progress. PBM’s expertise in mining technology complements Young Elephants FC’s use of data analytics and performance tracking.
Human-Oriented: People are at the heart of both PBM and Young Elephants FC. PBM’s diversified, multi-cultural workforce, comprising predominantly Lao employees, mirrors YEFC’s Lao-dominated team with several overseas players. Sharing their experience and knowledge makes both teams stronger. So, whether it’s ensuring employee well-being and safety in the workplace or celebrating the passion of football fans, the human element is central to both organisations’ endeavours.
The partnership will include joint community outreach programmes, youth development initiatives and collaborative events. Fans can look forward to exciting matchday experiences and opportunities to engage with both PBM and YEFC.
PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Daling Zheng spoke about the partnership.
