The Korean Civil Society Cooperation Programme hosts a meeting at the Crowne Plaza Vientiane on July 15, with the aim of improving the Public-Private Partnership Programme. The conference was organised by the KOICA Office in Laos, with attendees including representatives of 11 organisations, Korean NGOs and private associations that oversee the execution of KOICA projects in Laos. The main goals of the conference were to enhance the project management capacity of KOICA’s civil society cooperation programme, discuss current challenges and achievements, and share the next plans for 2024. The Country Director of KOICA, Mrs Myung-Jin Kim, said that in order for KOICA to manage the demanding and complicated difficulties associated with the development process, it needs more active involvement from private partners, and optimism that the collaboration of civil society organisations with diverse areas of competence can address development issues and create a synergistic effect. In order to support Laos’ sustainable development, the KOICA Office in Laos will continue to support collaboration between NGOs. --Photo KOICA |
