The company’s Vice President, Ms Lathdavone Phounsavath, said Oriental Pearl is a Korean investment company with headquarters in Sisavath village, Chanthabouly district, Vientiane.
The planned development includes a golf course; a leisure area comprising a water park, lawn, and walking trail; a hotel, restaurant, and convenience store; a solar power zone comprising solar panels and an energy storage station; a dairy farm comprising a cow shed and grassy area; a forest restoration and nature conservation area (forest plantation and wildlife conservation areas); roads, a canal, a garden, parking lot, wastewater treatment plant, and waste disposal site.
The developer aims to build a modern tourist attraction that is environmentally friendly and well supplied with amenities, while also preserving Lao traditions.
In terms of socio-economic significance and impact, it will create jobs and income for people in the project area through employment and the sale of goods and services.
It is envisaged that the project will boost the province’s economic growth and community development through tourism, assistance, and the various obligations that the developer must fulfil.
As a result, the economic structure of the locality and the province will grow, environmental protection will be assured, and a strong effort will be made to preserve the fine culture and traditions of people of all ethnic groups.
Due to the development of a wide range of tourism products, more tourists will be drawn to Laos to experience the new activities and facilities on offer.
The development is planned on an area of more than 500 hectares at a cost of more than US$700 million.
Construction will be divided into two phases, with the first phase taking place from 2025-2035 and the second phase from 2036-2045.
The first phase will see the construction of infrastructure and facilities that can generate revenue quickly, such as a stadium, hotels and restaurants, and a recreation and tourism area, so that services can be provided quickly.
The second phase will involve the expansion of public utilities and tourist areas, and other facilities to make the site a complete tourism and recreation destination.
In terms of sales points and target customer groups, in addition to domestic and international customers, the company has a specific market plan to focus on Korean customers, especially tourists and sports enthusiasts, because the company has a good network and cooperation with Korean business operators and tourism service providers.
This spring, taking advantage of the strong sports and fitness popularity among Koreans, there will be a specific marketing plan that is expected to encourage a large number of Korean tourists to use the service.
