An official from Meung district in Bokeo province, Mr Somneuk Inthaphom, and a developer, Mr Khoxa Laoma, on Tuesday sign an agreement on the lease of a 6.6-hectare plot of government land to build facilities for visitors to Namyou cave in Saliheuang village. The developer will build a restaurant and other amenities for visitors.

Farmers from Xieng Khuang, Vientiane, and Borikhamxay provinces attend a training course titled “Capacity Building for Branding and Marketing of Greenhouse Groups” under the project for rural development in northern and central Laos. Held at the Laos-Korea Rural Development Training Centre from November 3-8, the programme aimed to strengthen vegetable-growing groups by equipping them with essential skills in branding and marketing. This training is expected to empower farmers, ensuring they have consistent harvests and reliable markets for their produce throughout the year. The course was organised with the support of the Korean Institute for Development Strategy (KDS) and KOICA. |
