The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Vientiane, in partnership with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities, on Monday hosts a series of events bringing together over 200 persons with disabilities, students, teachers, families, and community members for a morning dedicated to participation, dignity, and shared joy. The event followed a visit to disability organisations, where students and UNFPA staff had the chance to learn directly from persons with disabilities and better understand the daily barriers they face. Supported by the UNFPA, the day featured sports such as blind football, basketball and swimming; creative workshops; and handicraft demonstrations. |
