VNA opens exhibition room
in central Vietnam
DANANG (Vietnam News/ANN) -- The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) officially opened an exhibition room displaying thousands of old documents, photographs and equipment that were used by journalists in the central and central Vietnam during the American war.
The exhibition, which opened in Da Nang city on Wednesday, also marked the 60th anniversary of the Liberation Press Agency (October 12th, 1960). The Liberation Press Agency (LPA), the official news provider of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam during the resistance war against America, was later merged into Vietnam News Agency (VNA) after the reunification of Vietnam in 1975.
It contains collected thousands of images as well as typewriters, photo printing machines, code manipulators, film cameras, and signal transmission machines from old reporters serving for the Liberation Press Agency during the American war (1960-1975).
The room, which located at the second floor in the new information service centre of the VNA’s Central and Central Highlands region in Da Nang, will be a popular site for young people exploring the history of journalism.
