At least three people were injured when two armed men fired shots at vehicles in the tunnel section of the Vientiane-Vangvieng expressway on Sunday afternoon.
According to an initial report from their relatives of the victims, the incident occurred at around 12.30 pm in Hin Heup district. The two armed men parked their pickup truck on the roadside and used a gun to open fire at two cars when they exited from the tunnel on to the expressway, according to Lao security news.
Three people sustained bullet injuries and one of them was critical.
Authorities rushed to the area to collect evidence and to trace the attackers so that they can be arrested”.
