Phu Bia Mining celebrates 13th PanAust Employee Awards

Phu Bia Mining (PBM) and PanAust hosted a gala dinner to celebrate the 13th PanAust Employee Awards on June 9 at the Crowne Plaza Vientiane.
The PanAust Employee Awards Programme, created in 2010, recognises and rewards outstanding contributions by employees and teams from the Company’s operating sites in Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Papua New Guinea.

PanAust and Phu Bia Mining awards recipients during the 13th PanAust Employee Awards held in Vientiane on June 9.

PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Daling Zheng, expressed his appreciation and thanks on behalf of PanAust’s shareholder Guangdong Rising H.K. (Holding) Limited to the recipients of the awards.
Mr Zheng said “Congratulations to all our winners and runners-up. We acknowledge and show gratitude to our employees who have accomplished great things beyond what was expected, who have fulfilled their tasks in the PanAust Way, and have continued their exceptional performance and contribution for the past 12 months.”
Phu Bia Mining Chairman, Mr Chanpheng Bounnaphol, added “We are proud of the award winners and runners-up, who are committed to the growth of our business. Thank you for going ‘above and beyond’ in your efforts.”
The winners and runners up in the different categories include the EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD which was won by Phonesavanh Phanouvong from Risk/Loss

Prevention at Ban Houayxai. Meanwhile the Runner-up was Souksengdao Phetsaphangthong (Bank) from HR and Training.
The winner of the TEAM OF THE YEAR award was the MRD Geological Team and the Runner-up was the IRM South Wall Cut-Back Infrastructure Relocation Team.
The winner of the OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AWARD was Poryang Nhiaxiong from Drill & Blast in the Phu Kham Mining Department, followed by Bounkhong Vongbouakham from Phu Kham Mining as the runner-up.
The PRODUCTION/COST PERFORMANCE/CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT award went to the Combined Supply and Operations Team which delivered the new contract for the Supply of Explosives Products and Total Loading Services, followed by the Logistics and Haulage Team for the in-sourcing of haulage for cyanide as the Runner-up.
The SAFETY TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD had the Geotechnical and Hydrogeology Team as the winner, while the Runner-up was the Ban Houayxai TSF Construction team.
The final award was SUSTAINABILITY TEAM OF THE YEAR, which was won by the IRM Ban Nam Mo Concrete Road Construction Team, while the Runner-up was the Community Relations Team.
