In his remarks at the closing ceremony for the training programme, Mr Guan Jun said that since the establishment of the Belt and Road E-commerce Rural Revitalisation College a year ago, the institution has accurately assisted international rural revitalisation work by carrying out academic education and skills training.
He said that the “Laos New Media Live E-commerce” training course for middle and senior management executives fully utilised the resources of the finance and trade vocational education group of Chongqing Vocational Education Base, the financial and vocational education alliance of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twins Cities Economic Circle and the LNCCI. This was done to share the experiences of China’s mature e-commerce industry with more than 20 Lao executives.
“Our school will cooperate with the Institute of Industry and Commerce of the Lao Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Madsthane handicrafts-agriculture promotion enterprise to build an internship training base, implement the ‘dual subject’ school, serve the revitalisation of Laos’ agricultural industry, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the heart-to-heart connection between China and Laos,” he said.

Trainees took part in the in-person and virtual closing ceremony on June 2.

Mr Daovone Phachanthavong thanked the school for imparting theoretical knowledge and new media technology in the field of Chinese e-commerce to the Lao industry at a time when economic and trade ties between China and Laos are booming.
He believed that the Belt and Road E-commerce Rural Revitalisation Institute will help Laos’ backward areas achieve capacity transformation and upgrading, and this will help local farmers increase incomes and become wealthier.
Speaking on behalf of the workshop’s participants, Mr Maxthana Vannachomchanh said the training was rich in content and diverse in form, and the trainees learned about Chinese culture and language. They also learned new ways of e-commerce retail and will apply this knowledge to practical work, he said.
He hoped that he would have the opportunity to participate in more training organised by the school in future and looked forward to having a chance to visit the school for studies.
The Secretary-General of the Lan-Mekong China Education Training Promotion Alliance, Fei Cui, who was the trainer for the course, accepted the completion certificate on behalf of the Lao students and presented gifts to the school as a token of gratitude.
