RATCH-Lao to be a part of Hongsa Power to produce electricity efficiently

RATCH-Lao Services Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the RATCH Group, has been entrusted to continue to implement the operation and maintenance service agreement for the Hongsa Mine Mouth Power Plant.

An agreement signing ceremony between RATCH-Lao and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) was held in Vientiane on August 1.

Under the new agreement, the operation will continue for another three years. There are currently 133 operation and maintenance staff.

RATCH-Lao is a subsidiary of the RATCH Group Public Co., Ltd., which is wholly owned by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

The company has invested in the Nam Ngiep 1 hydropower project, Nam Ngum 2 hydroelectric power project, Hongsa Mine Mouth Power Plant, Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy hydroelectric power project, and the Xekong 4A and 4B hydroelectric power plants.

The RATCH Group has invested in electricity development and owns 10 percent of shares in EDL-GEN.

Speaking at the agreement signing ceremony, Director of Business Management Division of EGAT,  Mr Cherdchai Saenseeha said that over the past 11 years, RATCH-Lao has successfully fulfilled the operation and maintenance service agreement for the Hongsa Mine Mouth Power Plant.

The operation and maintenance service began in March 2011 and the company has been entrusted to continue to provide this service.

EGAT continues to use a professional team as the main force in providing services to keep the power plant moving forward.

opportunity that EGAT has placed its trust in RATCH-Lao, which has expertise in conducting personnel recruitment in Laos since 2011, making the project move to a sustainable and strong future in Laos.

Representatives of the two sides witness the signing of the agreement.
