JDB head office hosts video conference to review 3 months of operations with service units across Laos
The Board of Management of the Joint Development Bank (JDB) has reviewed its business operations in the first three months of 2023 via video link with representatives of service units across Laos.

The video conference took place on May 18 at the bank’s head office in Vientiane, attended by the Chairman of JDB’s Board of Directors, Mr Ekaphanh Phapithack, and Managing Director and CEO, Mr Vilay Siphaphone.
The meeting was officially opened with a speech by Managing Director and CEO, Mr Vilay Siphaphone, who gave a brief summary of the Joint Development Bank’s business results over the past three months.
Mr Vilay said business was operating normally due to the active oversight of the board of management and staff, which enabled business results for the first quarter of 2023 to be carried out according to plan.
There must be strong leadership to lead customer service teams in delivering an impressive performance in order to achieve the set Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals, he added.
In pursuit of the 9-month plan for the rest of this year, it is necessary to strive to maintain the existing customer base and acquire new customers. The number of credits approved by the bank has increased several times compared to last year.
The meeting also heard a report on its liquidity and financial position in the first three months of 2023, given by the administration department and the accounting department.
They reported that income to date fulfilled 20.13 percent of the plan for the whole of 2023, which is considered to be positive. This was followed by comments from the board of management and various service units throughout the country.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of JDB’s Board of Directors, Mr Ekaphanh Phapithack, stressed the importance of leadership and knowing how to lead employees to achieve and fulfil set goals.
To fulfil the 9-month plan by the end of 2023, JDB must work hard to make profits to achieve the goals set to contribute to the development and prosperity of Laos by following the motto of the Joint Development Bank - “Blooming Together”.
