The convoy travelled from February 18-19, with participants bringing clothing, educational materials, sports equipment and other supplies worth more than 200 million kip for distribution to selected groups in Xepon district.
The donated items were handed over to the residents of five villages, two primary schools, and police and military units.

Ms Lingthong said the joint activity involving groups from Laos and Thailand served to promote tourism and raise awareness of the attractions of Savannakhet and neighbouring provinces in Thailand that form the East-West Economic Corridor.
She praised the group for their charitable work and thanked them for their efforts to spread happiness and help children living in deprived circumstances in rural areas of Xepon district.
The programme was arranged by Savannkhet province’s Information, Culture and Tourism Department and the Fourwinds Savan Club.
