International School of Laos students bring home 3 silvers and 1 bronze medals from USA

International School of Laos students proved their abilities on the international scene once again as they proudly represented Laos and achieved success in the recently concluded Copernicus International Olympiad.
ISL students from Nongbone Campus and Pakxe Campus brought home 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal from the Copernicus Natural Sciences, Physics and Astronomy Olympiads in Houston, Texas, USA.
“We thank our teachers who constantly prepare our students to take on challenges, as well as the diligent work and dedication of our students, which resulted in these accomplishments. I praise you, as you have such passion, and we encourage you to continuously push towards accomplishing more of your academic dreams,” School’s Principal, Mr Ulvi Shirinov  said.
The International School of Laos actively participates in International Olympiads and competitions. Recently, ISL students excelled in various competitions in the mathematics, English, art, technology, programming and design categories.
ISL Olympians received 4 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze medals and certificates in the recent Future Intelligence Students Olympiad (FISO) USA International Round in the mathematics, English and art categories.
The ISL Team Kaibar, which had been selected by the Ministry of Education to represent Laos, was 2nd Runner-Up in the Asean-India Grassroots Innovation Forum Student Innovation Competition in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The same team was also the 1st Runner-Up in the recently concluded International Smart School IOT Hackathon ASEAN Edition.
ISL continuously extends opportunities for its students, as well as to other schools in the community. The 14th year of their mathematics competition – the Inter-School Math Olympiad (ISMO XIV) – will be held on March 18, 2023.
Thousands of students participate in this Olympiad from more than 50 schools in Vientiane. Further information about the Inter-School Math Olympiad will be announced soon on the International School of Laos social media platforms.
