DM Group among outstanding businesses for contributions
to national economy during the COVID-19 pandemic

DM Group Sole Co., Ltd. is among the outstanding businesses from 13 sectors across the country which received the ‘Top Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Leader for Year 2021 in Relation to the COVID-19 Response Award (New Normal)’.
For the past 30 years, DM Group Sole Co., Ltd. founded by Mrs Douangta Matmanisone, has been operating in the field of construction, trading, apartment services, education, and water supply, and has had many successes and gained customer satisfaction.

Currently, the company is led by visionary woman Mrs Douangmala Matmanisone as Managing Director, who is also looking for more achievements under the vision ‘Always be respectable and deliver beyond expectations’ and the mission ‘An attitude to work together, grow and progress together to strengthen the company’.
Not only leading the DM Group, Mrs Douangmala is also Managing Director of DM Trading Co., Ltd. (Grundfos pump dealer in the Lao PDR), Managing Director of Mala Apartments, Managing Director of the Vientiane Institute of Technology, Co-founder and Managing Director of DM-LOXLEY Co., Ltd. and Co-founder of Wattana School.
The visionary woman Mrs Douangmala has some points of view on the digital age, saying that adapting to new situations and creating an understanding of the changing circumstances of work and society is essential. In the digital age there are so many conveniences that make things faster and easier. It is important to choose a system that is suitable for the work of our business and create an understanding for all teams to know and know how to use.
Mrs Douangmala also said that since the Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020 it had not only impacted the global economy but also affected DM Group’s business operations including construction activities, which meant some projects were delayed due to the inability to import materials and equipment that were needed.
Labour migration has also been difficult because work in some areas requires a dedicated technical team to go down to each project. Implementing the measures is challenging and requires a lot of attention, while making sure all employees understand that New Normal work is necessary and very challenging.
From experiences and achievements in the past, the DM Group is seeing responsible work and paying attention to the role of the company, which are considered important steps and key to living oneself with quality and being able to compete in the construction industry both domestic and internationally.
