EDL, Sysmatik IT partner in call centre, mobile app upgrade
Electricite du Laos (EDL) and Sysmatik IT Solution Company Limited have upgraded EDL’s call centre with the phone number 1199 and an EDL mobile application, which enable the public to provide emergency notification about electrical faults, EDL service operations, and other issues.

Mines Dr Khammany Inthirath, EDL Managing Director Mr Chanthaboun Soukaloun, the Chairman of Sysmatik IT Solution Company Limited, Mr Vichit Xindavong, and other guests. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Khammany said the upgrades had been made by EDL in response to government policy and the need to provide up-to-date services to build confidence in customers.
Mr Vichit said “Call Centre 1199 is a cooperation project between EDL and Sysmatik IT Solution Company Limited to modernise the call centre and EDL’s mobile application.”
The call centre is located on the 10th floor of EDL’s headquarters where staff are on standby around the clock to receive emergency calls. Staff can receive incoming calls up to 30 calls simultaneously from members of the public concerning electrical faults and EDL’s services.
EDL’s mobile application provides a direct link to the call centre server for customer services, which can automatically access data relating to electricity payments, electrical faults, blackouts, and other issues. In the future it will continue to develop the system to cover all branches in the country and enable people to pay electricity bills through the EDL mobile application.
Sysmatik IT Solution Company has been working in the field of information technology services since 2013, and provides comprehensive IT system development services, IT infrastructure, and payment gateways.
The company has designed an infrastructure technology system for the Bank of the Lao PDR, a payment gateway for Lao Airlines state enterprise, and provided enterprise IT equipment to banks including Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL).
