HiSun Global partners with Sysmatik IT Solution, bringing digital banking solutions and core banking technologies to Laos

HiSun Global, a Hong Kong-based global banking service provider, announces an exclusive alliance partnership with Sysmatik IT Solutions (SMT), a Laos-based IT solution provider under the AIF group. This partnership is part of HSG’s aim to introduce a robust system of digital banking and core banking technologies to Laos in September 2021.

Terry Liang, CEO of HiSun Fintech Global Limited. Thanongsith Thepphongeun, CEO of Sysmatik IT Solution.

HSG and SMT will collaborate to provide a platform solution that helps their clients reduce cost and complexity, improve operational efficiency, and allows their clients to focus on delivering their core servicing and product capabilities.
Opportunity to support the growing adoption of banking technologies
In Asia, the banking sector is primed for digitalisation. As more players step into the digital banking industry, both Fintech startups and legacy banks, there is also an increase in competition. To bring effective solutions to their clients, banks have to develop a productive business model and scale across their client base.
Through the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers are turning to mobile and digital options faster than ever. At the forefront of digital transformation in the banking industry, client experience and customer support remain key drivers for this growth. This long-term partnership between HSG and SMT seeks to improve the digital banking experience for Lao people.
“Together, the collective goal is to grow together with our clients, provide continuous product innovation, platform development and customer support. As the region prepares itself for the next wave of digital banks and new Fintech solutions, we want to step in and ride this wave, not just to increase the availability of technologies, but to provide the support and guidance needed during this adoption,” said Thanongsith Thepphongeun, Chief Executive Officer of Sysmatik IT Solutions Co., Ltd.
Expanding HSG’s presence to enhance digital banking for more Lao citizens
The exclusive alliance with SMT isn’t HSG’s first stint in the Lao market. Earlier in June, HSG began collaborating with Laos’ largest bank, BCEL, launching the next generation of core banking in the country. This project was HSG’s first large-scale venture into the Lao market. The two partners worked together to adapt and localise HSG’s retail and corporate banking technologies to bring efficient solutions to their clients. Using the Hi Sun Banking Suite (HBS) with API compatibility, their core banking solutions saw a quick go-to market and high success.
Establishing itself as a global banking service provider, HSG has completed several projects to digitise banking in the region. Some notable projects were: Two pioneers launched in the virtual bank stratosphere in Hong Kong, and a partnership with Oriental Bank and Baker Tilly in Cambodia.
“We have a 100 percent success rate for our core banking system. Through each partnership, we always come out with a better understanding of the market, the way people adapt and communicate, and how we can refine our products and services to create a truly customer-centric experience that also boosts operational efficiency. Our end-to-end solutions take care of everything from our direct partners to their clients and their clients’ friends and family. This has created an entire ecosystem that we want to service and support through the road to digitalisation,” said Sisi Yu, Regional Director of Channel Development & Marketing.
With over 23 years of experience and more than 50 overseas banking clients, HSG has diversified “turn-key” solution offerings, meeting all-round needs in payment, banking, finance, business operations, and Fintech. These include Core Banking, E-Banking, Customer 360, Payment and Loans.
