LNCCI employees sharpen skills with coordination techniques

The Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) is working to enhance the capabilities of its employees in various business promotional centres as part of efforts to ramp up commercial activities.

Participants of the seminar come together for a group photo while attending a training session.

As part of measures to upgrade the skills of the LNCCI personnel, a session on “Dual Cooperative Training Presentation” for the Dual Cooperative Training (DCT) Service Centre and vocational colleges was held in Vientiane.
Representatives from Vientiane and the provinces of Luang Prabang, Vientiane and Champassak participated in the training session.
The course was supported by the Vocational Education Lao PDR (VELA) project, which aims to strengthen the skills of the DCT service centre’s team and the DCT coordinator so that they can organise and conduct exchange meetings with enterprises that participate in the centre.
The course was also aimed at convincing enterprises to become certified DCT partners and to convince firms that do not know about the DCT to participate in the programmes of this centre.
During the training sessions, the participants had the opportunity to learn about techniques and solutions to problems. They also learnt about presenting their work to coordinators  and had an opportunity to practice by role-playing and simulating the presentation of their work in the training room along with partner companies such as Pawarn Farm and Meuang Lao Farm.
The participants said this training was useful for them as it demonstrated the points that can be developed and improved to implement effective presentation methods, good services and transform sales methods to bring them in line with contemporary needs.
After this seminar, the DCT service centre will work with vocational colleges to arrange a visit to the DCT’s partner facilities and new establishments that are interested in implementing DCT, discussing conditions, benefits and incentives and preparing for the issuance of certification to DCT’s partner facilities.
