Unitel cuts cost of internet data packets by 20 percent
 
Internet users of Unitel network are benefiting from cheaper data packets after Star Telecom Company’s move to slash 20 percent of internet data costs.
A purpose of the policy is to minimise the impact on customers of the severe economic pressures arising from the continued outbreaks of Covid-19, steady rise in fuel prices, and fluctuation of foreign exchange rates. These conditions directly and widely affect production and businesses in various sectors, as well as the living conditions of people.

At a time when society is facing a difficult situation, Unitel realises the importance and necessity, as well as the responsibility, of providing its best services at suitable costs to customers without unlimited usage of the internet.
Therefore, Unitel made the decision to offer cheaper internet data packets to its users.
The 20 percent reduction of internet data packet costs will be implemented from March 3 to May 5. This policy will provide benefits to prepaid, monthly mobile, and net sim mobile phone users.

In addition, if customers pay service fees through the u-money application, they will get a promotional reduction of 5 percent of the cost of filling the prepaid value for Unitel numbers and transaction services, and 2 percent of the cost of  home internet (FTTH). Clients will also immediately receive double the internet data when they register for new internet data packets.
For home Internet and (FTTH), customers who install a new FTTH system will recieve 100 minutes of free calling value within the network, but they need to use Unitel numbers. If they do not have Unitel numbers, Unitel will provide them numbers. In case customers are using Unitel to increase by 10 times the internet speed for downloading and uploading, they just pay the starting price of 140,000kip for 30Mbps.
The promotion does not finish yet – when using Unitel services, customers can collect scores to exchange for prizes from the company’s upoin programme. Clients who use 1,000 kip will get 20 scores from the company’s ucare programme to exchange for various prizes. These prizes include internet data packets and reduced fees for the Food Panda service.
