Assurances General Laos (AGL) marked its 35th anniversary with a grand celebration in Vientiane on Wednesday, commemorating past achievements and announcing a renewed vision for sustainable growth.
Founded 35 years ago, AGL began with a mission to provide peace of mind to customers by helping manage risks to life and property.

She added that AGL has grown alongside the nation’s development and takes pride in its role as a vital pillar of the insurance sector in Laos.
AGL has developed a wide range of insurance products to meet the evolving needs of society. Motor vehicle insurance remains the core product, accounting for 45 percent of total sales, followed by life insurance, health insurance, and property insurance.
The company operates through more than 130 agents and over 50 strategic business partners nationwide. It also maintains a 24-hour customer service centre and a network of standard hospitals and garages domestically and abroad.
The company uses a "Voice of Customer" system to monitor feedback and continuously improve services.
The company has fully transitioned from paper-based contracts to a digital system. Through the "My Insurance" application, customers can purchase and renew policies, pay premiums, and report claims anytime and anywhere.
AGL has also partnered with leading banks such as BCEL, LDB, and JDB to allow payments conveniently through banking apps.
AGL’s 2024 financial results confirmed the company’s stability. Claims paid totalled 57,717 million kip, reflecting strong financial capacity and readiness to serve customers and invest in the future.
AGL has been a pioneer in implementing electronic contracts (e-Policy) and promotes sustainability through initiatives such as the “One-e, One Tree” project, which has planted more than 3,000 trees in protected forests.
The company also uses solar energy and waste separation to encourage environmental responsibility.
As a fully government-owned company, AGL pledged to maintain high service standards, expand its customer base, and continue delivering excellence in insurance products and services.
