Leading Thai BarBQ Plaza restaurant opens in Laos

BarBQ Plaza, a leading Ping Yang (grilled meat) restaurant from Thailand, has opened its first branch in central Laos as part of regional marketing expansion plans.
The restaurant is situated on the 1st floor of the Big C Hypermarket at Lao ITECC in Vientiane, and is popular for its Ping Yang menu which features both quality food and a high standard of service.
The opening ceremony was attended by the First Secretary of the Thai Embassy to Laos, Mr Wasin Keatparitus; Senior Vice President of Mpointmart Trading Company Limited, Big C in Vientiane, Mr Wichan Sermai; Director of the Thai Trade Centre in Vientiane, Mr Kawin Viriyapanich; and business operators from Laos and Thailand.

The opening of BarBQ Plaza is the first step in the expansion of the F&B (Food and Beverage) business in Laos, which aims to provide a premium dining experience from Thailand to the Lao community by presenting a menu that offers high quality ingredients with a warm and attentive service delivered by a professional team.
All of the dishes served are selected and prepared with the best quality standards so that Lao customers can experience the full delicious and unique taste of BarBQ Plaza.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major of Shareholder  LA Retail Co.,Ltd, Ms Vimala Xayasouk, said the opening of BarBQ Plaza was not just about the launch of a new business operation but also symbolised the longstanding deep relationship between Thailand and Laos.
This successful collaboration resulted in the first branch of BarBQ Plaza bringing a top quality Ping Yang dining experience from Thailand to Laos which, as well as strengthening the relationship between Laos and Thailand, is helping to stimulate the economy, create jobs, and develop the potential of local people, she added.

The opening ceremony of the BarBQ Plaza in Vientiane was a well-attended event. Chinese New Year characters added colour to the ceremony.

Ms Vimala said “We would like to thank BarBQ Plaza Thailand for trusting us to be the only Master Franchise representative in Laos and we are very honoured to work with a brand that is famous for quality and service.”

Chief International Business and Legal Officer at Food & Passion Co., Ltd., Mr Sansana Sasanavin (K.Tak), said “We are happy to have the opportunity to open a branch in Laos and, thanks to cooperation between both countries, we have succeeded in becoming the first BarBQ Plaza branch in Laos on the 1st floor of Big C.”

There are plans to open more BarBQ Plaza Lao restaurants across Laos so that more people have the opportunity to experience premium Ping Yang products from Thailand, which are all delicious and of a very high standard, Mr Sansana said.
The CEO of LA Retail Sole Company Limited, Ms Julaluck Khamphim, said Lao people always enjoy eating Ping Yang with their friends and families and she hoped the new restaurant would live up to their expectations.
