Indian business operator invests in top-quality school in Vientiane

An Indian business operator, the King’s Valley Company Limited, is expected to invest more than 33 billion kip (approximately US$1.5 million) in a new high-quality educational institution, the King’s Valley International School, (KVIS) in Vientiane.
The aim is to achieve excellence in education, innovation, and community growth with a safe and supportive environment, Founder & Chairman of the company, Mr Varun Bhatnagar, told Vientiane Times’ reporters when interviewed at the company’s guesthouse in Vientiane  last week.
“We aim to work in partnership with students and parents, fostering a caring and supportive community,” he said.

The school is located in Thongkang village, Sisattanak district, Vientiane, and will launch early this year, Mr Bhatnagar said. Mr Bhatnagar, who is also a former teacher, has worked in different countries.
The King’s Valley Company Limited runs businesses in various sectors, such as education, tourism and medical services, in India and Southeast Asia.
“We decided to do business in education in Laos because we see the need for high-quality education and the growth of the country’s economy and GDP as an ASEAN member country,” Mr Bhatnagar said.
“Our company has invested in the King’s Valley International School (KVIS) in many countries including Myanmar. We have high-quality and experienced teachers from different countries to teach and build friendships with students and their parents,” he added.
“Our school will open the opportunity for parents with moderate incomes to send their children to this school. The quality of teaching, learning materials, curriculums and facilities are of the same standard as at other international schools in Laos, Mr Bhatnagar said.
The company plans to pay teaching personnel from overseas and Laos within the country to work at the school in order to meet expected standards.
The company expects to open its doors in September 2025. However, admissions are currently open and ongoing.
The school is accepting students from kindergarten until grade 10.
“We will not stop at investing in KVIS only in Vientiane but plan to open other schools in provinces such as Savannakhet and Champassak,” Mr Bhatnagar said.
KVIS provides a quality education using the Cambridge curriculum and prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE qualification. The school currently runs kindergarten to Year 11 classes successfully, offering a  high quality, internationally accredited education at an affordable price for all.

The graduation ceremony concludes with a group photo featuring all IGCSE students and the entire management team.
