Representatives of the Khammuan provincial authorities and Asia-Potash (Laos) gathered on the occasion of providing a development fund for Thakhaek district in Khammuan province.

Asia-Potash (Laos) donates 2 billion kip for development of 22 villages in Khammuan

Asia-Potash (Laos) has provided development funding worth almost 2 billion kip to villages in Thakhaek and Nongbok districts in Khammuan province.
On March 11, Asia-Potash (Laos) handed over the money to 22 villages in the vicinity of the potash fertiliser project for the improvement and development of infrastructure, education, villagers’ living standards, and skills training.
The company gave more than 762 million kip to the villages of Dongtay, Nadinchi, Naphotha, Thangam, Thahae, Nonghang, Khokpathone, Dongsok-Phonxay, Donethong and Nontoum, all located in Thakhaek district.

Representatives of the Khammuan provincial authorities and Asia-Potash (Laos) gathered on the occasion of providing a development fund for Nongbok district in Khammuan province.

The company also donated more than 1.1 billion kip to Nakham, Dongboun, Nonchik, Dongkhoung, Nongpham, Nanoy, Nontae, Nonsila, Xieng Vangthong, Nongpalath, Dongyang, Dongkhuang and Pakpeng villages in Nongbok district.
A ceremony to hand over the funds was attended by the leaders of Thakhaek and Nongbok districts, representatives of Asia-Potash (Laos) and Khammuan provincial authorities.
Since 2022, Asia-Potash (Laos) has provided development funding to villages surrounding the project for 4 consecutive years. A total of 5.54 billion kip has been given to these villages to foster economic development and improve villagers' standard of living.
With the support of the Lao government and people, Asia-Potash (Laos) has been deeply involved in the development of Laos' potash salt industry for 16 years and is now the largest potash fertiliser production project in Southeast Asia.
The company has always adhered to the concept of win-win development, with a focus on promoting local socio-economic development and people's livelihoods, making important contributions to the prosperity of Laos and the wealth of the Lao people.
The Lao government and the company have built friendly relations based on mutual trust, support, integration, and encouragement.
Asia-Potash (Laos) will continue to help villagers around the project to have a source of income, increase their income, and deepen cooperation between the company and the surrounding community to create a better future together, by helping villagers to restore their land, teaching them modern farming techniques, and providing them with potash fertiliser.
