KB KOLAO Leasing and Good Neighbors Laos hand over OPD building to Sangthong district government

KB KOLAO Leasing in cooperation with Good Neighbors Laos on Monday handed over a newly built out-patient department at Sangthong district hospital to the district Governor.
The handover ceremony was chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of KB KOLAO Leasing, Mr Inhyun Joo, Country Director of Good Neighbors Laos, Mr Seokjun Hong, and Sangthong district Governor Mr Phongsavanh Siriphan.

The building, which took six months to construct, can serve 470 patients a month and will reduce the number of emergency cases referred to the main hospitals in Vientiane.
KB KOLAO Leasing’s president, Mr Inhyun Joo, said he was proud to assist the Sangthong district government to improve health services through the new out-patient building and the provision of medical equipment, adding that good health was of the utmost importance.
He hoped that the residents of Sangthong district would make good use of the new facility and be pleased with the services it provided.
Mr Phongsavanh Siriphan warmly welcomed KB KOLAO Leasing’s president and his team to Sangthong district and thanked Good Neighbors Laos for carrying out the project for the benefit of the people of Sangthong.
He promised to discuss the management of the new out-patient department with the Sangthong district health office to ensure its maintenance and long-term use.
The out-patient building and medical equipment provided by KB KOLAO Leasing is a meaningful gift for the people of Sangthong district, he said, and is one of the indicators needed by the Sangthong government to fulfil its current five-year work plan.
The people of Sangthong greatly appreciated the gift and were very grateful for the support generously provided by KB KOLAO Leasing and Good Neighbors Laos, he added.
The out-patient building and medical equipment were funded by KB KOLAO Leasing, while the provision of materials and project implementation were carried out by Good Neighbors Laos.
