SEA Bridge partners with Soutsaka Institute of Technology to empower next generation of Lao talent
SEA Bridge and the Soutsaka Institute of Technology (SIT) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at empowering students in Laos with the skills, experiences, and networks they need to thrive in today’s fast-evolving business landscape.
A Memorandum of Understanding to empower the next generation of Lao talent was signed in Vientiane on Monday between the Founder of SEA Bridge, Mr Tanakrit Sermsuksan, and the Director General of the Soutsaka Institute of Technology, Mrs Vanhkham Souligna, witnessed by the Thai Ambassador to Laos, Ms Morakot Sriswasdi.
“This MOU signing ceremony is an important step in the partnership to promote the empowerment of Lao youth to become future leaders and entrepreneurs,” Ms Morakot said.

“The ceremony is also significant because this year is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and Thailand. The collaboration between SEA Bridge and the Soutsaka Institute of Technology is another step in helping to strengthen the friendship between Laos and Thailand even further,” she added.
The partnership is designed to bridge the gap between education and industry by providing students with meaningful exposure to the startup ecosystem and the broader business community across Southeast Asia.
Through SEA Bridge’s extensive regional network, SIT students will have opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry professionals, both in Laos and abroad.
The partnership will also place a strong emphasis on practical learning. Students will benefit from internships, hands-on workshops, and business immersion experiences that bring real-world challenges into the classroom.
These experiences are crafted to help students develop not just technical knowledge, but also the adaptability, creativity, and confidence needed to succeed in a dynamic work environment.
Beyond Laos, this partnership opens doors for students to explore regional and international opportunities. With access to SEA Bridge’s initiatives and events in Thailand and other ASEAN countries, students will gain valuable cross-cultural experience and insights into the broader Southeast Asian market.
By aligning SIT’s academic strengths with SEA Bridge’s innovation-driven ecosystem, this partnership represents a powerful step forward in nurturing a new generation of globally-minded, business-savvy Lao professionals.
It reflects a shared vision: to make entrepreneurship more accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive, and to prepare students not just for jobs but also for leadership in building the future of Laos and the ASEAN region.
