DPM highlights 5G and ICT focus at Huawei booth during Lao Digital Week 2024
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Mr Saleumxay Kommasith, examined Huawei’s latest innovations for the country at the Lao Digital Week 2024 last week.

Mr Saleumxay visited Huawei’s booth at the event after attending an annual meeting on technology and communications along with a delegation.
He expressed admiration for Huawei’s groundbreaking contributions to Laos’s technological landscape, particularly commending the introduction of 5G and ICT advancements. He underscored the significance of these innovations in steering Laos towards greater socio-economic development and heightened connectivity, reflecting the government’s recognition of the transformative potential of digital technologies.
In response to Mr Saleumxay’s visit and his endorsement of continued digital development, Huawei expressed its unwavering support for Laos’s digital transformation agenda and emphasised its willingness to collaborate with the government to bring the nation’s digital vision to fruition.
