This acknowledgment specifically highlights LXML’s commitment to environmental responsibility in its 2024 development activities, specifically the Sepon Gold and Copper Mine in Vilabouly district, Savannakhet province.
The certificate was formally presented during a ceremony held in Savannakhet province to commemorate World Environment Day 2025.
The event was attended by over 400 participants, including government officials such as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Ms Bounkham Vorachit; Governor of Savannakhet province, Mr Bounchom Ubonpaseuth; deputy governors; deputy ministers from various ministries; representatives from the United Nations and other international organisations; local community members; and LXML’s CSR team.
The certificate was presented by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr Chanthaneth Bualapha, to the Managing Director of LXML, Mr Saman Aneka.
LXML is among only 22 companies to have received this highest category of environmental certification.
LXML has maintained this award since 2023, making this the second consecutive year that the company has received this recognition since the programme was initiated by the Lao government in 2023. This consistent achievement underscores LXML’s dedication to maintaining high standards of environmental management across its operations. It reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainable development and responsible environmental stewardship.
LXML is proud and honoured to receive this recognition from the Lao government. It affirms our efforts to operate as a leading mining company while contributing to the sustainable development of Laos.
We remain committed to upholding the highest environmental standards and will continue to prioritise environmental protection in all our activities.
We thank the Lao government for this recognition and look forward to continuing our leadership in environmental management within the country.
