PM, Foreign Minister send condolences over deadly Air India crash
Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane have extended their heartfelt condolences to their Indian counterparts following the recent fatal Air India plane crash.
In a message addressed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Sonexay, on behalf of the Lao government and people, expressed deep sorrow and sympathy over the tragic incident.
The message reads “I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and property damage caused by the airplane crashed in Ahmedabad city, state of Gujarat of India on 12 June 2025.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to express my profound sympathy to Your Excellency, and through your Excellency to the Government and people of India. Our thoughts are particularly with the victims and their bereaved families.
I am confident that, with the intensive effort by the government of the Republic of India, the people of India will be able to overcome this difficulties and restore normalcy to their lives soon.”
