The LXML Vice President, Mr Zhou Xinbing, welcomes Mrs Pany Yathotou.

The visit symbolises the strong partnership between LXML and the government in fostering good corporate works for the best socio-economic contributions from LXML as a professionally leading investor in international standardised mining in Laos.
As per the delegation by the President of LXML, Mr Gao Bo, and to ensure the feeding up of understandable information on the Sepon Project to this government’s high-level mission, Mr Zhou Xinbing – Vice President and Vice General Manager - Business Support welcomed the party and conveyed regrets from the LXML President that he could not be available to attend the visit of Mrs Pany.
He then gave a pragmatic presentation on the current status of the Sepon Project and the future development of Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML) under the MEPA Agreement with the Lao government.
Mrs Pany praised LXML’s positive contributions to Laos, acknowledging the company’s significant role in socio-economic development at the national, provincial, and local community grassroots levels by the Sepon Project.
The Vice President said she greatly appreciated the good cooperation between LXML and the government. She suggested distributing the Sepon Community Trust Fund to more communities and possibly to other districts.
The Lao Vice President said she was very happy to hear that the Trust Fund had awarded scholarship to top students at the district high school and suggested also considering support for Grade 5 pupils and teachers at village primary schools.
Regarding the Fund for the Assistance to Disadvantaged Groups, the Vice President also encouraged LXML to involve professional veterinarians in providing services to local communities.
Mrs Pany said she was fully aware that agriculture and husbandry have the potential to drive local economic growth and noted that China is in need of significant numbers of cattle every year.
During the meeting, LXML Managing Director Mr Saman Aneka gave responses to questions put by the Vice President and clarified the company’s collaborations with central, provincial and district governments and local host communities.
Both the meeting presentation and the site visit were successful and the visit by the delegation to the Sepon gold room created a great impression.
The Vice President observed that many Lao businesses had been awarded contracts with the Sepon Project, including VDC, KXN, Hommalar Development Co., Ltd., Vethasin Construction Co., Ltd., and local services and suppliers.
Both the Vice President and the Governor said they hoped to see LXML become the leading operation and continue responsible mining operations alongside environmental protection and community development in ways that meet international standards and will provide a strong legacy.
