PalFish hosts early education symposium in Hanoi
Exploring the future of children's international learning in the age of AI
Hanoi, Vietnam: PalFish, a global leader in educational technology for early learners, successfully hosted the Child Early Education Symposium in Hanoi, Vietnam, on June 20, 2025.
Held under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges of Children's International Education in the Age of AI”, the symposium brought together educators, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the future of early childhood and international education.

The event opened with a keynote address delivered by Professor David Pickus from the American University in Vietnam.
His presentation, titled “Preparing Your Child to Study in an Age of AI”, highlighted the growing importance of equipping children with critical thinking, adaptability, and global awareness to succeed in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
This was followed by a presentation by the Head of Overseas Business at PalFish, Mr Li Xiao, who spoke on the Opportunities and Challenges of EdTech in the Age of AI.
Drawing on the company’s innovations, Mr Li highlighted how AI-powered educational technology can personalise learning while stressing the need for responsible integration to ensure quality and equity in education.
He also provided an update on PalFish’s expansion of offline experience centres across Southeast Asia, and outlined the benefits of the company’s “online + offline” business model.
Following a networking tea break, participants took part in two insightful roundtable discussions.
The first panel, Multi-language Reading and Global Education in Vietnam, addressed the role of multilingualism in preparing children for global citizenship.
The discussion featured Professor David Pickus; Vice Dean at Hanoi Pedagogical University No. 2, Ms Ha Anh Tran; and Lecturer at Hanoi Law University and Fulbright Scholar, Mr Le Nguyen Duy Hau.
The panellists shared classroom experiences, reflected on the significance of global literacy, and offered practical strategies to overcome common challenges in multilingual education.
The second panel focused on AI’s Impact on Early Education, with contributions from Mr Li Xiao of PalFish; Head of Southeast Asia at the MacMillan Education, Ms Ho Hac Bao Quyen; and Chief Technology Officer at Vuihoc, Mr Hoang Bien.
The session examined how AI is being integrated into early learning environments, with case studies from PalFish’s platforms.
Ms Quyen discussed supporting bilingual literacy through digital tools, while Mr Bien outlined Vuihoc’s approach to incorporating AI in its learning programmes, highlighting both technical and pedagogical challenges.
The symposium served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, fostering dialogue among academic experts, private sector leaders, and educational professionals to shape an inclusive, innovative, and globally connected approach to early learning in the AI era.
