BSH Laos Insurance announces new board of directors

BSH Laos Insurance Co., Ltd. (BSH Laos) announced a new Chairman of the Board of Directors and a new CEO at the annual shareholders’ meeting in Vientiane on June 21.
The changes aim to improve the company’s operational efficiency, strengthen its position in the market, and bring sustainable value to customers, partners, shareholders and the Lao public.
The Deputy CEO of the Saigon-Hanoi Insurance Corporation, Mr Do Dang Khang, was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at BSH Laos.
Mrs Tran Bich Hop was elected as the Head of the Supervisory Board, and Mr Nguyen Mau Hung Minh was appointed as the CEO of BSH Laos.
The Chairman of BSH Vietnam, Mr Kim Kang Wook, presented flowers to Mr Do Dang Khang and Mrs Tran Bich Hop and congratulated Mr Nguyen Mau Hung Minh.  
The new appointments are an important milestone in the development process of BSH Laos.
Mr Do Dang Khang and Mr Nguyen Mau Hung Minh have many years of experience and a deep understanding of the Lao insurance market, which is a sign that they will bring great progress to the company in the near future.

The new management team is committed to continuing to develop quality insurance services, meet customers’ needs, and contribute to developing the insurance sector in Laos.
BSH Laos was officially established and began operations in 2017 in cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. BSH Vietnam - the parent company, holds an 80 per cent shareholding in the business, while S-TECH - the Lao shareholder, holds a 20 per cent stake.
Thanks to the experience of BSH Vietnam and the DB Insurance Group, a strategic shareholder from Korea, with the support of the SHB Lao Bank and S-TECH, especially the trust from partners and customers, BSH Laos has undergone robust development, enjoying an average annual growth rate of 90 per cent in 2022 and 2023.
Currently, BSH Laos is present in Vientiane and all of the provinces.
The main office is in Vientiane, and there is a representative office in the south of Laos and more than 300 agents throughout the country.
The company has close relations with many businesses and banks in Laos and offers more than 50 insurance products, including motor vehicle insurance, healthcare insurance, personal accident insurance, fire insurance, and cargo insurance.
