Lao Airlines and CIT MRO Co., Ltd. sign strategic business agreement

VIENTIANE — July 2, 2026, A formal signing ceremony for a business cooperation agreement between Lao Airlines State Enterprise and CIT MRO Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Thavisub Group) was held today at the Amari Vientiane Hotel.
The agreement was signed by Mr Saleum Tayalath, Acting Managing Director of Lao Airlines, and Mr Soukdala Noraseng, Chairman of the Thavisub Group and Managing Director of CIT MRO Co., Ltd. 
The high-profile event was witnessed by Mr Ngampasong Muongmany, Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Mr Souliwat Souvannachoumkham, Deputy Minister of Finance, alongside the Director General of the Department of Civil Aviation, government representatives, private sector executives, and key personnel from both organisations.
The primary objective of this strategic partnership is to collaborate on the domestic distribution and international export of aircraft spare parts supplied by CIT MRO Co., Ltd., catering to shifting market demands. 
Furthermore, the partnership outlines a framework for information exchange and the advancement of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services to align with rigorous international standards.
This cooperation is poised to deliver sustainable mutual benefits. Beyond generating robust revenue streams for both entities and the state, the initiative will optimise asset management efficiency, reduce operational overheads, and unlock value from existing inventory. 
Ultimately, this landmark alliance aims to elevate the corporate reputations of both organisations while simultaneously bolstering the aviation profile of the Lao PDR on the global stage.
