She noted that while many electric vehicles on the market share similar designs, the ORA 5 has been created to stand apart through its distinctive appearance, combining fashion-inspired styling with practicality, intelligent technology and advanced safety.
“The future of mobility has already arrived. The ORA 5 represents a new generation of electric vehicles designed to deliver convenience, safety and enjoyment on every journey while expressing a unique personality,” she said.
Ms Sompasong said Great Wall Motor, one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers, has extensive experience in developing new energy vehicle technology. The ORA brand was established to offer consumers an electric vehicle that blends innovative design with intelligent features and world-class safety standards.
She said the launch of the all-new ORA 5 SUV reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Laos’ transition towards cleaner transportation while responding to growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly vehicles.
The ORA 5 is powered by a 150kW electric motor producing 260Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration for both urban commuting and long-distance travel.

Designed with what GWM describes as a minimalist philosophy, the ORA 5 features smooth, flowing body lines, distinctive droplet-inspired LED headlights, and alloy wheels incorporating a four-leaf clover motif symbolising good fortune and elegance.
A full-width rear light bar integrated into the rear windscreen enhances the vehicle’s modern appearance while improving durability.
