Lao Telecom wins 9th ASEAN Entrepreneur Award 2024

The Lao Telecommunications Public Company has been honoured with the 9th ASEAN Entrepreneur Award 2024 at the 25th World Knowledge Forum held in Incheon, South Korea.

The World Knowledge Forum (WKF 2024) brought together guests from 82 countries, featuring 62,821 dignitaries, including 5,832 expert speakers. Around 1,830 lectures were delivered that focused on economic knowledge and global trends, facilitating exchanges among world-class experts.
On September 10, the Director General of Lao Telecommunications Public Company, Mr Souphol Chanthavixay, along with his board, attended the award presentation ceremony of the 9th ASEAN Entrepreneur Award 2024.
The event, themed “Journey Towards Coexistence,” took place from September 9 to 11 in Incheon, South Korea.
Lao Telecommunications Public Company and World Bridge International Group from Cambodia were the two leading companies awarded this year.
Receiving the prestigious ASEAN Entrepreneur Award is a significant honour for Lao Telecommunications Public Company. Mr Souphol Chanthavixay accepted the award on behalf of the company. Mr Souphol is a leader and outstanding entrepreneur in the telecommunications and communications industry in Laos. His vision has spurred steady growth and played a vital role in advancing the country’s economy and communications sector, positioning the company as a model for leveraging new technologies to benefit society.

The company supports the nation’s digital transformation in alignment with the Party and State’s policies, embodying its motto: “Lao Telecom, Lao People’s Telecommunication for Lao Society” (We are Family).
