Pak Beng Power fosters staff excellence and Laos-China friendship
Pak Beng Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Datang, has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing local talent and strengthening Laos–China friendship by hosting a sharing session in Vientiane on September 23 to mark the conclusion of China Datang’s Foreign Employees China Tour.
Under the theme “Forging Excellence for a Sharing Future”, the session encouraged Lao staff to embrace a development philosophy that integrates environmental protection with business growth and balances technological progress with cultural values.
The initiative also aims to promote excellence while supporting Laos’ green and sustainable development path.
From September 7 to 18, Pak Beng Power’s outstanding Lao employee, Malavanh Songchidyalisa, participated in the second China Tour for Foreign Employees organised by China Datang Corporation Ltd.

The delegation visited China Datang’s headquarters and several key projects, including the Datang Inner Mongolia Energy Development Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Datang International Togtoh Power Generation Co., Ltd., the New Energy Training Centre, Inner Mongolia Datang International Keshiketeng Coal to Gas Co., Ltd., the Integrated PV Power Station and Desertification Control Project of China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Ltd., and the Saihanba Wind Farm.
These visits gave participants first-hand exposure to the company’s world-class management, advanced technologies, corporate culture and values of “Truth Seeking, Innovation, Co-creation and Sharing”.
On September 22, a senior representative of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee met with Malavanh Songchidyalisa, who gave a detailed account and praised the initiative.
At the sharing session, Ms Malavanh recounted her experiences to Lao and Thai colleagues at Pak Beng Power, highlighting the care and encouragement shown by China Datang’s leadership towards foreign employees.
She also conveyed the company’s commitment to mutual benefit and win-win cooperation in driving shared development.
As a Fortune Global 500 energy enterprise for 16 consecutive years, China Datang has built an international presence in several countries including Laos, where it currently employs 900 foreign staff.
At Pak Beng Power, Lao employees are engaged across key departments such as administration, finance and environmental protection.
Many have earned recognition as outstanding employees and progressed into management positions thanks to their strong performance.
