New Café Amazon Laos products offer fresh taste sensation

A new product, Lao Drip Coffee Bolaven (Amazon Bolaven Champassak Lao PDR), made by Café Amazon Laos offers customers a novel way to enjoy the unique taste and aroma of Lao coffee.

All of coffee beans used by Café Amazon stores in Laos are local coffee beans, but this new product will serve our customers even they are not visit our stores. It will serve our customer to experience the great test of Lao’s coffee beans everywhere, Managing Director of PTT (Lao) Co., Ltd., Mr Peravej Na Ranong, told the Vientiane Times on Tuesday at the opening of the Made in Laos fair at Lao ITECC in Vientiane.
Both Lao and foreign customers are excited about the new product, as evidenced by the response when managers and marketing teams carried out a market survey, Mr Peravej said.
Currently, the new product is available only in Laos, but there are plans to sell it in Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines.

People know about Laos from many perspectives, through tourism, its culture, and other aspects. Quality of Laos coffee beans will be another way to let the people know more about Laos. “But one thing we are sure of is that everyone will get to know Laos better through drinking coffee made from beans grown on the Bolaven Plateau, which produces some of the best Arabica coffee in the world,” Mr Peravej  said.
The plateau is situated about 1,200 metres above sea level and contains volcanic soil from eruptions that took place millions of years ago. As a result, the soil is rich in minerals, and there is plenty of rainfall in the area and the air is clean.
Local villagers take great care of the coffee trees and produce coffee known for its unique taste and quality, especially from trees grown in the highlands such as the Bolaven Plateau.

“We would like to introduce you to Cafe Amazon Laos through other ways of drinking coffee. We are very proud of this new product, which comes from a quality source through the selection of standard coffee beans until it becomes Lao Drip Coffee Bolaven, which is the signature of Cafe Amazon Laos. It contains 100 percent real Lao coffee beans and is the pride of the Lao people,” he added.
“We decided to create this new product because we want to promote Lao products in the region and beyond, with coffee being produced on a commercial basis and having great potential.”
“In the future, we plan to be the central supplier in the region for the distribution of quality coffee beans from Laos,” Deputy Managing Director of PTT (Lao) Co., Ltd., Mr Chansavang Sikhampheng, said.
“We spent over a year getting ready to bring this new product to market after selecting a coffee bean producer group in the Bolaven Plateau and ensuring the coffee met our high standards,” he added.
