Laorus Techcom Co., Ltd. hosts grand opening ceremony
The grand opening of Laorus Techcom Co., Ltd. took place on Thursday, January 25, with the aim of tapping the potential of relevant sectors in Laos and increasing Laos’ cooperation with other countries such as China, Vietnam and Russia.

Deputy Minister of National Defence, Lieutenant General Vongkham Phommakone; Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Vanthong Sithikoun; and invited guests from government and the business community attended the event.
The Director of Laorus Techcom Co., Ltd., Mr Khamnong Houangsanasay, on behalf of the board of administrators, thanked the government, especially the Ministry National Defence and Ministry of Finance, for supporting and advising the company in its operations.
“We plan to strengthen the technical and economic relationship between Laos and Russia, Laos and Vietnam, and with other countries in the region and globally,” he added.
“I promise to devote my knowledge and ability to the performance of my duties to achieve success as assigned by higher authorities.”
Mr Vanthong said Laorus Techcom Co., Ltd. was established under a cooperation agreement between the State Enterprise for Agriculture Industry Development Import-Export and General Service and operated under the Ministry of National Defence and Houangsanasay Construction Sole Co., Ltd.
He added “This company was established based on the policy for the reform of state-owned companies and enterprises as determined by the government, to ensure that joint venture business operations between domestic and foreign companies are mutually beneficial based on the regulations and laws of Laos.”
Laorus Techcom Co., Ltd. will focus on comprehensive mineral development and processing, the import and export of industrial and agricultural products, fuel trade export of industrial and agricultural products, logistics development, and a comprehensive modern technology transfer programme, Mr Vanthong said.
The company will also partner with other Lao companies and companies from Vietnam, China and Cambodia for win-win benefits.
