LXML receives top government award for outstanding fiscal contribution
Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) has been honoured with a 1st Category Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its outstanding performance in fulfilling tax and duty obligations to the Lao government over the past five years (2020–2024).
The award ceremony was held at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane, and the certificate was presented by the Minister of Finance, Mr Santiphab Phomvihane, to the Managing Director of LXML, Mr Saman Aneka, who accepted it on behalf of the company.
This prestigious recognition highlights LXML’s exceptional record of compliance, accuracy, transparency and timeliness in fulfilling its fiscal responsibilities to the Lao government.
It also underscores the company’s strong commitment to responsible business practices and its role as a strategic partner in supporting the Lao government’s socio-economic development goals.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr Aneka thanked the government of Laos and the Ministry of Finance for their continued support and cooperation.
“This recognition is not only an honour for LXML, but also an encouragement for all our employees who continuously dedicate their knowledge, integrity and effort to responsible production and operational excellence,” he said.
Since commencing operations in 2003, LXML has made significant contributions to the Lao economy, with more than US$1.7 billion paid directly to the government in taxes, royalties and dividends. It has also contributed US$192 million in indirect economic value through employment, community development, training and local business partnerships — making a significant contribution to the nation’s economic and social progress.
Receiving this prestigious commendation reaffirms LXML’s position as a leading mining company operating with integrity, transparency and strict compliance with Lao laws, while remaining a key driver of sustainable growth and prosperity for the country.
