Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone welcomed as he arrives in Yunnan.

PM arrives in China’s Yunnan to attend key regional meetings 

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and his delegation arrived in China’s southwestern Yunnan province on Wednesday to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit, the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
Chinese premier Li Qiang will chair the summit, while leaders of the five other Mekong countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, and President of the Asian Development Bank are invited to attend the summit.
During the visit, PM Sonexay will also attend the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam Summit and chair the 10th Ayeyawady - Chao Phraya - Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) summit.
The meetings will take place during November 6-7 in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan.
ACMECS comprises of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
After the meetings, the Lao PM and his delegation will pay a working visit to Zhejiang and Shanghai from November 8-10.
During the trip, the Lao premier will also visit a number of Chinese enterprises, which have invested and operated businesses in Laos.
