Vietnam’s Party General Secretary to Visit Laos

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, will lead a high-level delegation on a state visit to Laos from December 1 to 2.
The visit, which comes as the Lao PDR marks its 50th anniversary, aims to further strengthen and expand the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The state visit is made at the invitation of the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith.
During his stay, Mr To Lam will attend ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Lao PDR and co-chair the 2026 annual high-level meeting between the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
