Enhancing regional cooperation in CBR defence

The 6th annual meeting of ASEAN Chemical, Biological and Radiological Defence Experts took place on November 29 with the objective of improving safety standards and promoting appropriate workplace practices throughout Laos.

The meeting was held at the Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Training Centre in Vientiane, operated by IndusTek Company Limited.
Laos’ first Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Training Centre is designed to provide job-related safety training to benefit both employers and employees.
Speaking at the meeting, the Managing Director of IndusTek Co., Ltd., Mr Phonesavanh Xaypanya, said the gathering would focus on CBR detection, sample collection, and deterrence, with a case demonstration on ammonia leakage.
“We are proud to highlight IndusTek’s unwavering support as a host and our ongoing commitment to safety excellence,” he said.
“Special thanks are due to the Dräger specialist team for leading innovative programmes, sharing expertise, and ensuring effective responses to chemical hazards across the ASEAN region,” he added.
