"ICT/MAKER FAIR 2024: A Celebration of Innovation, Creativity, and the Future of Technology"
Faculty of Engineering and K-LAB Vientiane hosted the ICT/MAKER FAIR 2024 at the Vientiane Center on 29 - 30 November 2024 in opened its doors to a vibrant community of innovators, tech enthusiasts, and forward-thinking creators, showcasing a stunning array of groundbreaking projects and cutting-edge technologies. The event featured an impressive lineup of exhibits, workshops, and live demonstrations, with participants presenting their work in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, software development, and sustainable technology.
Korean Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Lao PDR, H.E. Jung Young Soo delivered inspiring Congratulatory Speech Remarks at the ICT/MAKER FAIR 2024, celebrating the significant milestones achieved through the Industrial Technology Cooperation Project 4.0. The Ambassador emphasised the importance of fostering digital innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange between Korea and Laos, underscoring the role of such initiatives in driving digital transformation and socio-economic development in both countries. The event highlighted the shared commitment to building a robust digital future, showcasing the successful outcomes of joint projects and setting the stage for continued cooperation.
In addition, Deputy Director of Global Cooperation Team National IT Promotion Agency (NIPA), Ms. Go Byung Sun, opened the ICT/MAKER FAIR 2024 with insightful remarks on K-LAB Vientiane's achievements and vision for collaboration. Distinguished attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinthavong DARAVONG, Vice President of the National University of Laos, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khampaseuth THEPVONGSA, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with faculty members, students, and key stakeholders who contributed to the event's success.
The Fair served as a platform for collaboration, networking, and learning, with students, professionals, and industry leaders exchanging ideas and exploring the future of technology. Highlights included interactive exhibits, panel discussions with tech pioneers, and hands-on workshops designed to inspire creativity and problem-solving.
