Vientiane sees opening of new natural tourism site
Inthira Group officially opened La Foret at a ceremony last Sunday, a new nature retreat near a holy forest located just an hour’s drive from Vientiane.
Covering 33 hectares of vibrant jungle, La Foret hopes its outdoor nature experiences and activities offer an exciting new addition to the city for its residents.
Nestled among towering trees, La Foret aims to offer guests a chance to immerse themselves in nature and a peaceful escape from the hustle and pollution of the city.
This site also seeks to support biodiversity, conservation efforts, and community development while promoting an overall connection with nature that enhances environmental awareness and highlights the importance of the natural world.
The Vernthan Village Trust Fund has been set up to allocate resources for community development near La Foret, focusing on preserving a local temple, improving educational opportunities for residents and enhancing the welfare of the village.
La Foret offers a variety of outdoor activities, including a canopy walk that soars 21 meters above the ground, ziplines, a ropes course, and a BMX pump track.
Guests can also enjoy running and cycling paths, camping along the river, and dining at a branch of the Khop Chai Deu restaurant.
La Foret also features a meeting facility designed to allow the beauty of nature to inspire work, as well as an orchid garden showcasing over 300 species native to Laos, among other attractions.
