Beerlao’s global triumph: Over US$10 mn in foreign exchange revenue generated, bringing pride and prosperity to Laos

The Lao Brewery Company (LBC) achieved a monumental milestone in October 2024, exporting more than 10 million litres of its iconic Beerlao across the globe and generating over US$10 million in export revenues.
This extraordinary achievement not only highlights the surging international demand for Beerlao, but significantly contributes to Laos’ foreign exchange earnings, bringing immense pride and prosperity to the nation.
Today, Beerlao is savoured in more than 16 countries, and supported by 22 distributors worldwide. This global footprint mirrors the soaring popularity of Beerlao, which experienced an impressive 90 percent growth in exports, when compared to the figures for 2023.
Key export markets include Vietnam, Thailand and China. Two new markets, Sweden and Canada, were opened in 2024, with Carlsberg Sweden as its partner in Sweden.
The Head of Modern Trade and Exports Sales at LBC, Mr Ravindran Ramuderan, expressed his pride in the company’s accomplishments.
“Reaching this milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. We are thrilled to see Beerlao being enjoyed by people all over the world, and we remain committed to delivering the highest quality products to our customers that are premium, authentic and brewed 100 percent in Laos,” he said.
