TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd. to supply pipes for Wastewater Treatment Project

The Hungarian Water Lao Project Consortium and TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd. signed an agreement in Vientiane on Monday on pipe manufacturing and related construction services for the “Water Treatment Project”.
The pre-contract signing ceremony was attended by senior officials and representatives from both companies. Among those attending the signing ceremony included the President and co-founder of the Xaignavong Group, Mr Langkone Xaignavong, and Mrs Dalakham Xaignavong, who is also a co-founder of the Group and General Director of Toyo Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd.

The Wastewater Treatment Project falls under the framework programme for financial cooperation between Hungary and Laos under which the government of Hungary has provided a low-interest loan to finance the project construction.
The Vice Mayor of Vientiane, Mr Phoukhong Bannavong, said this was a milestone project that will use pipe products manufactured in Laos.
“The government promotes domestic production and encourages Lao people to use Lao products. However, the scale of domestic production still does not meet market needs,” he said.
“Secondly, Lao businesses are reluctant to invest in modern factories to improve the quality of their products because they fear their products will not be of interest to consumers, which of course would make them lose profit.”
Mr Phoukhong praised TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd., which is part of the Xaignavong Group, for their strong determination to invest in modern technology and the manufacture of high-quality pipes in response to the needs of the Lao market.
High-ranking Lao officials visited TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd. to show their support and encourage the company to improve their products to meet market needs.
The Vice Mayor of Vientiane said the company has clearly demonstrated that Lao products can be of high quality, with a number of development projects underway in Laos now using pipes manufactured by the TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd.
The government is encouraging private businesses and project operators in Laos to visit the factory to learn about its operations and apply lessons learned from the factory to improve the quality of their own products and for project operators to start using more Lao products.
In the past, most project operators have used imported products, but the Wastewater Treatment Project could be a pilot project in the use of TOYO pipes (Made in Lao Products) in the cooperation project between Laos and Hungary.
The Vice Mayor of Vientiane urged TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd. to maintain the quality of its products supplied to the Wastewater Treatment Project, saying that consistent high quality will create confidence and encourage more businesses and individuals to buy Lao products.
He also stressed that the company should deliver products to the project promptly and in line with the quantity and quality agreed to by both sides.
Mr Phoukhong also urged the Hungarian Water Lao Project Consortium to buy products based on the agreement signed with the TOYO Industry Lao Factory Sole Co., Ltd. with many years of experience, the company is committed to providing high-quality products and satisfying customers in all aspects of service.
