The awards recognised 198 employees for 10 years of service, 74 for 15 years, and one Lao national who achieved a remarkable 20-year milestone.
This is the tenth Long Service Awards ceremony, supporting Guangdong Rising Holding Group (GDRH)’s “Focus, Actions, Innovation, Technology and Human-oriented” philosophy. This philosophy promotes a diverse, multicultural, and responsible business approach while delivering sustainable value.
PBM, a member of PanAust, a wholly owned subsidiary of GDRH, believes its employees are central to its success. The company rewards their contributions through competitive remuneration, detailed in-house training programs, and external professional development opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Congratulating the employees and acknowledging their outstanding contributions to PanAust and the GDRH family, PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Daling Zheng, said, “PanAust and Guangdong Rising Holding Group emphasise the importance of the continued development of their workforce by pledging to foster a nurturing work environment. This approach prioritises the well-being and upskilling of PBM’s 3,000 Lao-national employees who make up more than 90 percent of the total workforce in Laos.”
“Their day-to-day efforts enable our business continuity and continued Laos’ growth, which also make our workplaces safe and great places to work. Congratulations to all of our long-serving award recipients, and we look forward to welcoming more employees achieving their 10 and 15-year milestones in 2025.”

PBM Chairman, Mr Chanpheng Bounnaphol, said, “Our Long Service Awards continues our pride to build the capacity of local communities through our localisation strategy. On behalf of the company’s management, we extend our thanks and value their contributions as they mark their long-standing milestone and achievements.”
Senior Government Affairs Advisor, Chanmaly Souvannakham, who achieved her 15-year milestone with PBM, has contributed her knowledge and skills to maintain strong relationships with national and provincial stakeholders in Laos.
She said, “I commenced with Phu Bia Mining in the Sustainability Department after graduating from the National University of Laos in 2009. Over the past 15 years, I have progressed in my career from an Environment Officer to Senior Government Affairs Advisor. This has been thanks to a range of in-house and external professional development and training programs supported by Phu Bia Mining.”
