The Managing Director of MOK Co Ltd, Mr Marco Mok, opened his speech with a warm “sabaidee” to the audience. He said the handover of the vehicles is not a finish line, but a starting point for professional service.

The company will continuously build its service capabilities, and the improvements will cover vehicle maintenance, repairs, spare parts procurement, technical support, and driving consultation to upgrade the new energy vehicle experience in Laos, he said.
Mr Mok said the 100 owners are not just customers but green mobility pioneers. Their choices will inspire others to learn about electric vehicles and steer the Lao automotive market toward a smarter, more efficient future.
The company expressed gratitude to the BYD brand for its strong products, to the staff for their hard work, and to the four government agencies for their essential cooperation.

In closing, company leaders wished the new owners safe travels, flourishing careers and happiness for their families. They asked customers to share feedback so that the firm can continue to improve its services.
The BYD Sealion 6, a new sports utility vehicle, features advanced technology designed to improve comfort and safety on Lao roads. It includes the DiSus-C intelligent body control system, which uses electronic sensors to adjust suspension stiffness in milliseconds. This system smooths out rough roads and ensures stable cornering and braking.

For high-speed safety, the vehicle introduces a tyre burst assistance stability control function. If a tyre bursts, the system automatically adjusts the vehicle’s attitude to prevent direction deviation. It features a sentry mode that monitors the vehicle when parked, recording video via a smartphone application if anyone approaches too closely.
Drivers also benefit from everyday conveniences built into the cabin. The interior offers seat ventilation to keep passengers cool, alongside an automatic parking feature to simplify daily driving.
The handover of the vehicles launched an exclusive strategic partnership between the vehicle distributor and Vientiane Insurance to protect buyers. The insurance firm introduced specialised terms adapted to the Lao legal system to cover electric vehicle batteries, motors, third-party liabilities and driver accidents. Damage assessments will use pricing from BYD authorised stores to ensure reliable service.
This collaboration integrates BYD emergency standards across all insurance rescue points to expand the after-sales network. The initiative aims to establish a new service benchmark for the rapidly growing new energy vehicle market in Laos.
